Welcome to the
College of Culture and Social Sciences.
College of Culture and Social Sciences.
Established in 2002, the College of Culture and Social Sciences is dedicated to both education and research in international studies (English, Japanese, and Chinese departments), logistics, and international trade (international trade, logistics and transportation departments), and culture contents (multimedia and electronic-commerce departments). In addition to the division of global studies, the tourism department (Department of Cultural Tourism Management) was added in 2020.
We aim to cultivate the customized talents required by regional and global industries such as the Yeosu National Industrial Complex, Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone, Yeosu Gwangyang Port, and the International Marine Tourism Complex.
To this end, the College of Culture and Social Sciences provides interdisciplinary curricula that harmoniously fuse tourism, global business, international studies (humanities field), logistics (management field), and contents (information technology), furthering our vision to become a convergence college that trains professionals who have been equipped with expertise for regional and global communities and who will lead the fourth industrial revolution in the 21st century.

In addition, we offer the GLOBAL (Glocally convergent Learning Organization of Business & Economics, Applied information technology, and Liberal arts) program, which combines the fields of management, applied information technologies, and humanities studies of international and regional areas. Distinguished faculty who have been dedicated to intensive research and education in various academic fields give both domestic and international students from diverse cultural backgrounds the skills they need to work with passion to explore the world of professional knowledge.
We are a program that strives to cultivate such talents into decent members of the regional community, citizens of this country, and global experts who show competence in practicing and sharing their knowledge beyond borders, boundaries and limits.
With our college, we hope you will grow up to be the talents of the 4th industrial revolution in the 21st century with expertise and full of consideration for others.
